June 30th, 2026:
They have been running lots of water the last few weeks to control Table Rock with all the rain up there. This has hampered some of the shallow fishing but it is still good fishing.
Flyrod nymphs have been good as well as midges at the outlets produces good bite.
Spinning has been good with inline spinners. Spinning maribou jigs at outlets works good also. Keep your spinning line small diameter, (2lb test preferred).
The Trophy bite has been a little slow but still some quality fish biting.
Drifting downstream with salmon eggs has been real good due to lots of current and flow to make this practice effective and plentiful. Casting drift rigs on 4lb line are extremely effective. We will put a description of these up in the pro level side showing how they are made and work.
NOTE: Lots of construction work going on at Outlet 7. Looks like a core rebuild, (Video up on our socials). This will effect water clarity coming out there and just below. Access there is limited also. FYI.
June 3rd, 2026 quick report from Troy N. personal experience and asking other anglers. Report comes from outlet 5 and 6 by the dam. (See newly added map below)
The fly rod bite was better than average between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the Midge. Rainbows are running shallow and striking aggressively, and while not every one is an easy catch, with consistent effort you’ll get hits from plenty of them.
The spinning bite was solid on small inline spinners in blue and chartreuse. The Hawgz Custom Baits Maggot also performed really well in chartreuse with a small gold head.
NOTICE! There was an angler and a young boy, possibly his son, fishing in the No Fishing Zone at outlet 7. They were only 10 feet from the sign and clearly saw it. I politely told them, but they ignored me, confirming they knew they were in the wrong. This is not only wrong but also sets a bad example for the young boy, teaching him that ignoring rules is acceptable. Such poor judgment, on top of fishing in a restricted area. PLEASE ABIDE BY THE RULES.
